The design is simple with news on the right hand side, website features in the middle of the page and a slew of advertisement down the left. It feels a little cheap that they're trying to get more money out of you, but experienced surfers will tune the ads right out. The important links can be found along the top of the page, such as Vivid girls, movies and photos. It's on those pages that you'll find the relevant content.

The content

The movies are the big draw of Vivid.com, and they come in many forms. There are full length feature films, behind the scenes clips, bloopers, webcast archives, amateur auditions and coming attractions. The implementation is what's lacking. The videos are streaming only and they haven't been segmented. An entire 2 hour movie is streamed in the same file so if you're looking for a particular scene it can be very difficult. The webcasts and amateur auditions are easier to navigate. The picture galleries are also poorly implemented. The thumbnails are tiny and there's no division among the images. Each girl has pictures from several different movies, but you'll be left browsing through a gallery of several hundred shots looking for a particular film. All that being said, there's a ton of content here and the volume overwhelms the problems.

Conclusion

Vivid.com is an enormous site that suffers from implementation problems. I get the feeling they'd rather you purchase their DVDs, which is why they don't offer them for download. A recommendation is still in order despite those problems because you can't find this content anywhere else and because there's a huge volume of it.
